Default Reliving My Past Sitting in the Garage in My 71 GTO

Listening to Doobie Brothers’ Toulouse Street 8-Track while sipping on a Knob Creek Bourbon in my University of Tennessee tumbler, I can smell her Heaven Sent perfume and taste the peppermint dinner mint as I kissed her in the parking space behind the restaurant before we headed back to her parents’ home. Sigh....

I can feel the seventies in this, man. I like to sit in my ‘71 in the garage at night and listen to “Blinded By the Light” (the Manfred Mann version). Next time I’ll add a nice Belle Meade bourbon.

Thanks Eric! Glad to have this car back. Will be driving it to the Southeast GTO Association annual picnic this Saturday on Lake Altoona, north of Atlanta. Great place for the event and a nice drive from my home in Buford. Might play a Steely Dan tape....James Gang...maybe Led Zeppelin?
