Would option code be #368 for 3.90 on Ram3 - and #362 be 4.33 on Ram3 ?

Or would they both be covered under #362 for Ram3 ?
Nice find! Think I'd go with a Parchment interior.

My 70 RAIV 4.33 has #362 and $2.11.

Id like it to have parchment also but the interior is mint shape and repro interior sucks and is not an option. Besides its too rare of a car to change anything on it i think. It isnt like its brown with gold interior.

Since my 2+2 is mostly finished I figured lets get the Ram Air car done. So we started the restoration today. On its way to my friends shop to strip it to metal first. Getting my son involved in this one. See how he does.

Un-friggin real. Awesome find man. That car is in phenominal shape for sitting out like that. I wouldn't change a dang thing during the restoration if it were me. Good luck on it and I look forward to seeing the completed car.

Looks like a big mouse nest. I have an old hunting truck that stays at my hunting property and sits from January until usually mid to late September. I made the mistake of leaving a partial roll of toilet paper sitting on the front seat at the end of one season. When we returned to the property later in the year to start bush-hogging roads and food plots, that roll of paper was nothing but the cardboard spool. We found a big nest in the air breather, another in the heater box and another inside the front fender. Mice are very good at finding ways into places you wouldn't think they could get to.

Shes really coming apart now. So far the body seems to not have any body filler in it. the metal is pretty clean.

Ram Air IV already came standard with performance axle so G94 (4.33) was the 2.11 upgrade.

All 4.33 cars I have seen with a PHS has a extra 2.11

Never seen a 2.11 twice maybe North who has more 1969 PHS's than anyone can comment
In 69 the only cars that had a performance or economy axle (368 & 364) were 265 cars (two barrel), all 350, 366 and 370 cars had either the standard or special order axle ratios (code 362).

As far as I know there is no way to identify on the PHS if a car had 3.90's or 4.33's. A buildsheet or at least a coded and date correct diff like in this case are a pretty good indication, especially on a car that hasn't been in the hands of people like us who can be sneaky.

I remember driving a 68 RAII 4speed 4.33 car years ago with a 71 or 72 455 non HO GTO engine in it. (I bet that 455 had a short but exciting life in that car)

I never saw a car empty a gas tank like that one; long stroke 455 turning 4,500 on the hood tach at 80MPH, two digit cruising range on the highway.

I just looked at my 362 code cars (bear in mind that 350 and 366 horse cars could be special ordered with higher or lower than stock axles-eg; 3.23, 3.08):

40 total (no AC cars, you could order 362 with AC I just don't have one):

5 RAIV cars (4 of them Judges, all M21 cars)

17 RAIII Judge cars (2 M40, 1 M20, 13 M21, 1 M13)

11 RAIII non Judge (4 M40, 1 M20, 6 M21)

7 350hp cars (1 M40, 4 M20, 2 M21)

included in the above totals were 4 verts;

1 350hp M40 (I have build sheet, car had 3.23STT light duty instead of 3.36-3.55, car also had AC diameter pulleys on a non AC car)

1 366 M40 non Judge

2 366 M21 non Judge

I noticed that there seems to be some sloppiness in how they managed some of the mandatory options;

for example there were 3 M21 special order axle cars that did not have HD rad option (they all should) so either they forgot to install it or they forgot to bill it or they put an M21 in a 3.08 or 3.23 car.

Also 3 of the 6 RAIII M40 cars do not have the speedo adapter, this is maybe an oversight or they were 3.08, 3.23 cars

Also a 350hp car M20 with no STT (posi) but charged for the speedo adapter even though its not an M40 (speedo adapter is for M40 with 3.90 or 4.33 only) and also not charged for headrests even though the invoice is in nov 68, computer glitch?

All the Baltimore cars with spec order axle (362) and M40 have the adapter (except 2 that are known 3.23, 3.08 cars) but every other car from the other plants does not have it billed.

Another example is of the 8 M40 RAIV without special order axles (3.90) I have; 3 of them do not have the adapter and 5 do (all the 5 Baltimore cars do, but the other 3 are Atlanta and Arlington and they don't).

Moving right along and Im really starting to realize how great of a car this is. This has got to be one of the cleanest original sheetmetal cars Ive come across especially her on the east coast. Look at the pics and you can see it has almost zero rust on it anywhere. the quarters are phenominal!! I cant believe how its shaping up already.

Don - looks like you've got a real winner there. That car must have enjoyed a life of leisure and summer evening drives with the top down, and spent its winters safe and sound in a garage where no salt could find its way into those quarters. Your cheeks must be hurtin' from grinnin' so much!

Back end is in primer and she is moving right along. Recaulked all the original seams. Leaving the Judge wing on it. Got a question for opinions. this is a late car so I guess it did not come with the rear quarter mouldings. There was a set in the trunk so I was wondering do i put them on. the quarters look much nicer with them I think. What do you think??

I say put them on as they really look awesome, plus crystal is more of an upscale color so the stainless will give it more bling

OFF.... Just for historical significance, as an owner of trim delete car I pay attention and it seems that I never see a car at a show or on picture sites without the trim. I feel down the line in future generations it could be totally deleted and people will think it the norm and a car without the trim will be considered an annomally...
