So I finally ordered my shocks and springs (last week).........double adjustable with 125 lb springs. I will have them in for my next race (Blue Suede Nationals - Norwalk)! Can't wait to go racing and turn this thing up!

Looking for a 8mm 53 tooth supercharger pulley. Need to slow my car down to run a 8.50 index! My 51 tooth aint going to do it any more!

Interested in a 55 tooth?
What's on the crank?

It really doesn’t matter what’s on the bottom, right now I have a 47 on the top. I need to slow down .50 of a second to run the 8.50 index for b/gas. Normally I run a 51 to hit the index but now I’m running quicker so the 51 ain’t going to get it done. The next size pully I have is an 54 I think that will slow me down too much! I’d like to run around 8.45 for the .50 index, that’s why I’m looking for a 53 pulley.....I found a 52 on e bay. Actually I think I’ll be in the 7.90’s....oh well.

What do you mean it does not matter what is on the bottom ?

Because it doesnt.......i lose or gain so much ET with every tooth I add or subtract on the top pulley. The number on the bottom doesnt matter because i never change it so its the consistent (I'm not changing my bottom pulley). Normally i would change to my 51 pulley to run 8.40-8.50, well now I'm about .30 or more quicker then last year (at the same race) so my 51 aint going to get the job done. So I'm looking for pulley bigger then a 51.......I have a 54 and that may do it this year. i just want to be prepared.

He'd speed the blower up if he added teeth at the bottom.

I think Dragncar ment was 1 or 2 teeth more or less on the bottom pulley being the same as 1 or 2 teeth more or less on the top.

Its what I meant George, thanks. Brainfart. Just like at the mill where you have a gearbox, drive and driven.

The reason I asked about the bottom pulley- perhaps I'd have a pulley slightly smaller.

Every car is different. Because of my crank support, the lower pulley is a royal pain to change. The upper pulley only takes five minutes. So, in my case, I carry a small selection of upper pulleys.
I don't change pulleys lightly, however. With fuel injection, a pulley change requires at least a change in the return pill and sometimes changing all the port nozzles to stay in tune. Jim

Well I’ve made two passes at Norwalk and the coil overs seem to be working. I’ve tried to let it fly two passes and I’ve had electrical issues. I think I figured out the problem but now I have to back it off a lot to run the 8.50 class!
