Can you explain that one?
Do you have the PHS for the car?

Pontiac only did the rear fiber optics unlike chevys and buicks which had the fender ones.

My '70 Judge RA IV also has the fiber optic tail lamp monitor. I had an extra NOS fiber optic system but sold it last year, so they are out there.

If the housing on the package tray is in good condition you can have a set of fiber optic lines made for it. These line were used on most early '70's Corvette's. The manufacture just needs to cut them to length and place the ends on them for you.

OH!

I think I just figured out what you guys are talking about;
Is that an indicator that points forward for the driver to see in the rear view mirror - which confirms function of the rear lamps?

interesting I have owned two different gtos with the monitors (one was a judge and the other was a ra3) and both had them on the fenders also. both were bought from the original owners also and were bought back around 80-81

Odd, never saw one with the fender indicators, only chevy’s. The option for Pontiac was called rear lamp monitor though. My dad had an impala with the fender lights, as a kid thought they were cool.

Correct, it was a rear tail lamp monitor only There were no indicators on the front fenders similar to the Chevrolet system.. It was first available on "A" Body Pontiac's in 1970.
