Default tri-pwr carb stud

Could someone plz tell me where does the carb stud with the hole in it go?What does it connect to? Thank you

Center carb, passenger side, rear. I believe usage depends on model and options.

That is correct.

It doesn't connect to anything.

I put a vacuum cap on mine and use it for tuning with a vacuum gauge. If you have vacuum advance you use the nipple at the back of the center carb. Maybe it was used for a dash vacuum gauge?

I have seen this “Vacuum Stud” in two locations on a 66 Tri-Power.

1) First pic, RH side front of rear carb. Factory capped, if no Air Condition.

2) Second pic, same as above, but this 66 has a Vacuum hose attached to hollow stud for Air Condition.

3) Illustration showing the other location sometimes used on a 66.
