Default T400 Trans Drive Gear

Would a steel speedometer drive gear in a T400 transmission be a 15 tooth, or were there different tooth counts available with the steel gear? We're just trying to avoid getting under the car and having to count teeth. The trans is in a 67 GTO, but the trans case was replaced not too long ago and not sure if all '67 internals were transferred over. Owner crawled under and confirmed it is a steel drive gear, but I haven't convinced him yet to count the teeth.

The TH400 in my '67 GTO has a steel drive gear with 18 teeth. I know the PO had the transmission rebuilt but don't know if it is the original.
