Default Used race part pricing

During the 3 1/2 decades of time in the hot rod world, i've normally seen that used race parts are typically priced at about 1/2 of new prices...

What have you guys noticed?

Depends on the which kind of part and the quality and how used is used in my opinion. Supply an demand too. Good heads seldom last long, good aftermarket blocks go zoom, billet cranks gone

50% of new or a bit less is the norm. Except when it comes to cars, those can run as low as 25% of what you have into them.

The same unless it's a Pontiac, and then they want to recoup all of their machining costs.
