Arnie raced LOTS of Pontiacs. Don't know how quick he ever went in a legal Stocker. I think most of his big cars ran one of the early SS classes & B/FX. But I think I remember that he drove a car to Florida & won a NASCAR drag race. Can't remember the car or class. Think I also remember that he beat a M/T car for class @ Indy, but got a DQ for a cyl that measured slightly too big. Can't remember the class.
Here's the '62 that was running D/SA, in '69. 1st pic shows it running against a '69 GTO. So, I assume this MAY have been a car that was still racing in the early 70's. Have no idea how long it continued to run. And here's the '62, with the White Lightning name on it. https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0117-26...ite-lightning/ http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...9793&p=5903742 Last edited by ponyakr; 10-11-2020 at 12:53 AM. |
