Default 421 super duty bathtub intake repop

found a local guy that can repop the intake.IF,thats a BIG IF,how many would be interested in giving a deposit to have one? There will be one and only one version. It will be a flat floor with stock ports to fit 65 and up heads. It will require a dimpled front cover and would use a tripower or dual quad thermo housing. Will not be RA IV ports. If you buy one and want it larger it is up to you and your porter to do it.Im getting a price to make 12,25 and 50.Im not in it to make money.I only need one for myself and the person that sold me the one I used to make the one im using for the pattern.I know it wont be under $1500 so lets start from there.Could be $2500.PM me or email please.Tom

You going to do the water neck too? Or use Tri-power?

Sure you can Bob......Gutsram..
Bathtub repops are definitly a WOW factor but it would cost HP I believe..
Curious of flow capability of repops..but I realize that's not the point..

Cool of Tom to look into repoping..

Going to bring this to the top again.Had a guy at my house today that might be able to get it done.Just want to get interest from a low of $1500 to a high of $2500.He is making me a spread sheet with how many and how much. The ports will handle a std ported E head and will have a late water Xover(post 1964)will not handle wide or high ports.Tom

Tom many of the ported E heads go 2.3-2.4 tall so at least covering that size hole to seal would be good.

Good luck with this, Tom. Hope it all works out. My highports are at 2.54" x 1.35 so I'm screwed.

Hey Tom, didn't Randy Williams 2 door Tempest wagon have one of these intakes on it with E-heads? Nice set up.

The manifold in the 2-door Tempest had a "V" plenum and straight runners vs the curved (stock) bath-tub stuff that was hidden inside the intake plenum. I helped Randy W.and Joe Z with the design of the things. Ask Joe Zajac or Larry Kaufman.

Tom,

I know of a few NSS guys that want one, they tried to buy one of ours, but $2,000 is out of the league for them. The Victory NSS association will not allow the Wenzler, so they are left with the low profile E or Offy, and the Warrior.

I thought you had a V plenum intake in addition to your flat plenum one? Is there any chance the V plenum one would fit highports? I haven't seen them side by side so I don't know if there is more material in the runners or not? Maybe I'm thinking of the one on your Le Mans

looks like without too much work the port entrance could be 2 1/2 by 1 3/8.With welding either top or bottem could be taller, doubt a wide port.Tom
