Default 1969 Trans Am Barn Find

After a long conversation with my wife (I sat and listened) it was decided that I was not going to be able to buy a convertible Firebird to sit alongside the 69 T/A so I have decided to go ahead with my original intention and get a 1968 Firebird 400 Convertible.

What I hopefully can do is find someone with a 1968 Firebird 400 Convertible and cash in trade for my car.

The Firebird convertible must be a real 400 car and be correct #'s and options wise. I would prefer a 4 speed of course but will consider automatic cars. I hope to find a non-verdoro green car (I heard they made other colors). I am not looking for a project but could live with a survivor type car or restored car. Other than that I am pretty open.

You all know my Trans Am but here is the link to the thread. The thread has links to over 1,200 pics of the car. You probably won't find a more documented and photographed T/A out there. If you are seriously interested please read the entire thread. I think it answers most questions about the car.

This could be a great opportunity for someone with a 400 convertible to trade up or for someone who bought a 400 car years ago when they were cheap and wants to capitalize on the current market value.

Since I have the capability of driving on a dealer plate, I have never titled the car in my name. If the buyer likes they can be the second owner or I can title the car in my name and transfer it to them. Your choice.

Thanks for looking and since I have to post a price, lets say $71,969.(I would rather trade)

Serious please call 925-899-2648.

Richie

Richie, I would have loved to have been able to help you out. Hope the car goes to a good home.

Thanks, I hope it goes to someone who will use it as opposed to turn it into a trailer queen. It's amazing how much attention this car gets when it is out. People walk right past the restored show cars. There is something to be said for originality.

The car is still running on the replacement motor. All of the original parts to the car are included.
