Default Intake Studded Bolts - 72 455HO w/AC

The quest continues...

Ok, next question, this time regarding the studded intake bolts. This is in regard only to the studded bolts other than the four used to hold down the exhaust crossover.

How many studded bolts does the intake require on an A/C equipped car? I can identify three with a minimal amount work including:

1) 2 on passenger side front two holes for the A/C bracket
2) 1 on drivers side second hole from the front for the alternator bracket

My confusion arises from the fact that most suppliers are selling these bolts in sets of four. Is there a fourth required and where does it go on the intake?

Thanks as always,

Bob

'72's will only use 3.
'71's will use 4 of the normal studded bolts on the intake. the 4th one goes on driver' side rear to help attach the throttle cable bracket. no need for that one in '72 , as throttle cable bracket changed styles & mounts to the intake runner.

Thanks, I've got a parts order headed for shipment today and wanted to try to add these bolts to save on shipping. I think I made it.

Sorry to revive an old post, but shouldn't the rearmost intake bolt on the driver side also be a stud on a '72? I have a coil bracket that needs to mount there. Do I have the wrong coil bracket for a '72? This is on a Firebird.

I answered my own question by searching. Should've tried that first. So much of the engine specific info is spread across many of the subforums. Too bad there isn't an engine hardware/accessory subforum.

Yes, the NJSTEVE posts are awesome. Only problem with them is that everytime I look it costs me an hour.
