I was waffling on going this year..., had sort of decided to pass. But woke up Saturday AM and it was such a beautiful day I made a late audible and decided to drive down for the afternoon. First time my T/A has been to the Nats -- I think it was a little embarrassed to be in such shiny company Unfortunately I only had the afternoon on Saturday to hang out so had to rush to see everything, +stopped at Tipp for an hour on my way home. A lot of really nice cars at the Nats this year!

The only hiccup in my 400+ mile round trip was the passenger side mirror falling off on US-23 on the way down. I realized I'd lost it about an hour into the trip. I was going to write it off, as those mirrors are easily replaceable, then I got sentimental about wanting to keep original parts, and re-traced my drive Sunday afternoon... found the mirror on the side of the road about 45 minutes from home. A little banged up, but it should buff out OK

Nice meeting you as well Dave. Would love to reconnect at a Georgia show. I'm planning to go to the big Summit Racing Autorama at Atlanta Motorspeedway in October. How bout then?

Keith, wish I had gotten to meet you and see your car. Great story about finding the mirror. Love that picture of it on the side of the road! Maybe we'll get a chance to meet next year.

My niece, Katherine, from Gallatin, MO took this pic of Tipp City from the hotel across the street from Harrison's. I thought it was kinda neat.
