Default MCACN Photos

Here are some pictures from MCACN. A couple are when the cars were driving out after the show. That was an amazing sight seeing a collection of RAIV's, SD's, Hemi's, Boss 429, 427's,...all being driven out the same door toward the safety of their trailers. What a parade.

I may get sad over the lonely fate of these show cars, but Thank God they exist and people restore them as they do. Great pics Bob and the Black car is AAAAA, they all are. The multi colored rows of Formula's was like candy.

This is the Best Muscle Car show in the Midwest. In my opinion Pontiac had the best representation of any other MFG.

Great Photo's Thanks for Sharing

I have a Question on the 68 Superteen FB, I remember them as having square headlights added to them, along with the really weird removal of the back seat and having a mobile media center (or something like that anyway, I remember a TV & a Turn Table at least) in place of the back seat. The car pictures doesn't seem to have either of those features? But I have never seen one in person, and I am going off of almost 50 year old memories.

Great pics Bob!

Dennis did a great job with the 1970-1974 Formula display! It was a sight to behold. Kudos for all his hard work.

Many spectators were wearing patches on their shirts and jackets displaying their favorite makes of cars, and it was interesting to hear comments from Mopar, Ford, and Chevrolet guys on the row of 1970-1974 Formulas. I heard a lot of positive comments, and without going into details, it was nice to hear how fans of other makes have a GREAT deal of respect for 1970-1974 Formulas. Many were unaware that the SD-455 was available in the Formula model, and I overheard some comments wondering why some had shakers and others had the dual scooped hood. I even overheard a group of 3 guys passing by that said the Formulas looks much better than the Camaros of that era, and they were all wearing Chevrolet jackets.

There were also some incredible Pontiacs in other displays. It was the 50th Anniversary of the Firebird and Camaro, and the 1967-1969 Firebirds were positioned up just as you walk in the entrance. There was a row of 1st Gen Firebirds, and another row with a couple of 1969 Trans Ams with a mix of Camaros. There was a much larger area of 1st Gen Camaros but they were towards the back of the arena, away from the Pontiacs.

Overall, Pontiacs had a very strong showing.

Here's a few more pics of other Pontiacs in attendance.

Ram Air V installed in a 1968 Firebird.

1972 Trans Am restored to perfection in the 1972 display. To the left is Jody Traylor's show winning 1972 GTO 455 H.O.

1967 Firebird 400 with original paint. Delivered with manual brakes and manual steering.

A row of Ram Air cars, three of them displaying their Ram Air IV hood stickers. The Limelight Green 1969 GTO RAIV ragtop was a 4-speed, with green interior, restored to perfection by Level One.

At the far end were two 1968 RAII GTO convertibles.

The legendary "Hard Times" 1968 Firebird Ram Air I restored as how it appeared in 1973.

1st Gen Firebird row. In the foreground was Jim Mino's 1968 RAII, then a pair of ultra rare Birds from Brian Styles; triple black 1968 Firebird RAII convertible, and a 1969 Firebird RAIV convertible 4-speed ordered in Warwick Blue. Next to that is the 1967 Firebird 400 right-hand drive of Rob Lozins, then a 1969 RAIV Firebird hardtop in Verdoro Green with a gold interior, and at the far end was the first production 1969 Trans Am.

Brian Style's had a very effective way of showing the details about his cars. Instead of a stand-up board describing the features, he had a couple of monitors that cycled displays every 10 seconds listing awards and features of the cars. I was honored that two of his cars that I did window stickers for were shown on the screens.

I love the Warwick Blue '69 and black '68 of Brian Styles. Mino's Bird is awesome too. This is an event that I've got to attend soon.
