Into a 74' Grand Prix winter bomb!

I also did this brew to my 57' Studebaker Golden Hawk but it did not work.

I will put a long handle breaker bar to it but if it does not respond out it comes to be broken down when I have time to do my own stuff.

If it will not move most likely the rings are fused to the cylinder walls and will need to be replaced...
I have plenty of Pontiac parts
Oh, I have found that in the cyl's that are free, the "brew" will run through past the rings.

Sorry, but I'm not really surprised based on what I saw.

No biggie, once I have the time I will pull it out and go thru it to make it operable.
Or put another running engine in for now.

Car has completely original driveline and appears to have never been apart.
Block is a "XH" 67' 400 and that was a 350 Hp engine.

No...lol..actually I'm taking your advice and I called in some big guns!
Going to try a 4 ft 3/4 drive breaker bar.

I have a couple of those. I buy them at the import tool store, about $35.00 would be probably $500.00 from Strap On.

After the motor being locked up I had to see what I really have for a car body.
I took out the seats , I knew the carpet was wet on drivers pan.
I'm pretty happy!

She Lives!
My buddy stopped over with his 4 foot bar and with a little drama and it turned over...spins smoothly & free now.

I'm going to treat the cylinders with PB Blaster and continue to spin.
Change the oil after I'm done treating cylinders and Fire it off Sunday!

I dried the front drivers floor then a quick wire wheel and what primer I had ( not much) to front floors.

I did try to fire her up.
Starter turned over too slow with plugs in to catch.
Next opportunity I'll clean all connections & grounds see if that helps.
If not I got 3 old starters and last ditch buy a mini.

Apparently Chevron stopped making Delo 400 LE 15-40 which had zinc and a CJ-4 rating
I got they're new stuff 400 SDE which has CK-4 rating and no idea on zinc.
Plus I got Shell Rotella T4 15-40 as a back up.
But I always add some lucas zinc break in oil cause you never know the real PPM in off the shelf stuff.

The starter must have a ton of resistance built up. I would 24 volt it!

Preaching to the Choir......again
When you get old starter off, attach jumper cables to it, see how it spins off car...not a complete picture of starter condition, but may help in parts decision...
