Oil pump pickup
Anyone else think this is a bit extreme?
Not my engine, it's from a Facebook posting. Was shown with a stock pan too.....dunno how it isn't hitting the pan bottom. |

Definitely tilted too much and welded on - the pickup should sit in a small divot between the oil pump housing and base plate.

Maybe someone had added a 2" sump to the pan and he figured that was the only way to get the pick-up lower in the pan.

last 2 engine s i did pickup was to high with stock pan with pickup in usual spot on pump had to lower pickup a bit i think the pump inlet angle has been changed a little
