Default battery ground, where? 1966 Bonnie

Finally putting the engine back in the car.

Where does the battery neg. cable attach on a 1966 Bonneville?

It attaches to a studded head bolt, pretty sure it’s the second one from the front of the head.

Also, to make sure you have a good ground. Make sure there is a good cable from the engine to the frame & engine to body. So many times I have been chasing electrical gremlins on vehicles. I first use a set of jumper cables to tie everything together, engine, chassis & body, gremlins go away! Need good grounds!

So lets assume that the stock ground stud is long gone to ARP type fasteners. What would be a good plan B?

If you have an unused 3/8-16 threaded hole on the front of the head that would be a great place to attach the ground cable. Be sure to scrape or sand off any paint at the grounding point.
