Default Electric fan switch location

Hi everyone
Just a quicky
I am installing electric cooling fans and the switch is similar to the picture below

Now, I have an Edelbrock intake similar to the next picture. In the picture I have arrowed 2 sensors fitted either side of the Thermostat.

Would I be correct in thinking that Sensor 1, the Red arrow pointing to the right, is to the Temp gauge and sensor 2, the Red arrow pointing up, is probably a switch for electric cooling fans

Thanks for any help
Mick

Either of those 2 places could serve the same function.
