The more I look at this the more that 27.5k number doesn't seem like a bad deal. My biggest concern would be is if it was a flood car. LA has a lot of them.

Flood damage wouldn't concern me if it was going to be completely stripped down for a restoration.

Usually the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) will track the flood cars. This car does not appear in their database as a recovered theft or total loss/salvage.

Private losses with no insurance and self-insured report to no one in the event of a loss.

As far as IF it was in a flood.... Water will get everywhere including engine blocks, transmissions, gauges, even inside wire harness insulation. I'll never do another.
