That window sticker has ALL the right stuff !
Glad to see it did get SoftRay Console and Deluxe Belts ... even Frt Rr Floor Mats.
The man knew how to order and had the money to do it right - Dream Car.

Usually - born with wheels are all dated within days of each other.
Sometimes even all the same day.
I'd run R1's with Reds on it no doubt.

If he didn't have a set of those spinner caps boxed anywhere ... then he probably did do something to get R1's . Dealer swap ... or maybe they goofed the original order and marked wrong box. Looks like they marked out the exh tips - maybe that was covering for a credit towards the wrong wheels.

who knows
I wouldn't sweat any of it
small potatoes on such a large order of fries

Can guarantee he didn't settle for anything less than what he wanted or paid for - whatever wheel it rolled out on.

Guys, I will post the story tomorrow. I forgot my paperwork to copy today and my battery is almost gone and I am away from home. Baron Von Zeppelin and another reader are both correct. The car appears to not have been exactly delivered as ordered. His negotiated trade-in and difference to be paid included exhaust splitters and Rally Ones. If not delivered that way, The dealer undoubtedly installed those options prior to customer pick up as he told me he drove it home equipped "as ordered". He later had the exhaust splitters removed because he got tied of cutting his fingers on the tips. The purchase of the car included an NOS set of splitters.

Did you get the hangers too? They are harder to find than the splitters! "Bill"!

Yes, I did. There is a left and right one and they still have the GM stickers on them.

I'm with you geeteeoh, the red stripe doesn't have to match anything on the car (like the tires)...it's a tasteful accent.

Not that you need more documentation - just wondering if you ever got bored and ordered it for fun.
Yes - I ordered the PHS info and a repop window sticker back in the mid 80's.

I am not familiar with the two core supports but my car does have the TT radiator (as you probably already know).

Keith - your buildsheet lists 778 for tranny
Does your BHC list 779 like the rest of ours do ?

I'm thinking this is another case where the BHC is semi-generic or follows an alternate concordance.

I've been back on my turtle-charged internet service the past couple of weeks and didn't even view the trade-in paper until last night.
See exactly what all you mean now.

The dealer probably did do a switch from another new car on the lot.
And ordered the Black GTO with the spinners by his own choice as to do the switch with.
This stuff was much cheaper when it came on the car versus the dealer buying new hubcaps outright even at his cost.

In that scenario - looks like the dealer was just cutting a corner to cut his cost and boost a lil extra revenue. Little on the shady side tho. lol

No doubt the orig owner would not have left the lot without his R1's on the car.
Probably pizzed him off they were not on the window sticker for his archive.

After you do a story on the 65
Tell us whatever you know about the 64 that was traded in.
Guessing he also bought it new as well ?

Believe it or not, I have the dealer invoice on that car as well and will post it, once this expected snow storm passes and I can get back to work to image it.

Negative. They both match (778).

I was going Back through my documentation and found a copy of the Billing History Card (BHC). It is a very old poor quality copy. Concerning the transmission, the code is 779. I'll try to post an image next week.

Bill , I checked today. The carbs are too grungy to tell. The former owner told me that the carbs had never been rebuilt, so, perhaps there are some markings hiding under there somewhere.
