No color yet. The shell is blocked, primer sealed, and wet sanded. It's ready. Had some budget issues with the painter, resulted in another car getting in the booth ahead of me. Mine should be back in the end of next week. The exterior color should go pretty quick.

Still seems like I've got about 10,000 other parts to get ready. I'm chipping away at it.

It's blue. Stopped by the shop today, base coat is done. Clear coat actually going on as I write this. Without the clear, the color doesn't show up well in photos. I'll post some more pics after I can get back to the shop Monday. Probably bring the shell home end of next week after the interior gets painted and the outside polished.

Here's a few shots with the clear on. Wet sanding and polishing the outside will happen after the interior gets painted this week.

Got some better pictures today. Wet sanding and the first buff are done. I helped wipe it down today, no better way to find all the flaws. I'm happy, painter did a nice job. Bringing the rolling shell home Saturday. Then it's on me not to screw it up.

Ron, the next red car I own will be a '65.

Thanks for the help offer. I could use a few pushers Saturday to help load it up in Plain City and unload it in Delaware. You and Kevin are certainly welcome. I haven't sent out the call for help yet to any others, but will soon. I was thinking meet around 1pm at the paint shop, or 12:30pm at my house. That way it'll be late enough in the day to crack a beer open when it's unloaded in my shop.

Thanks for all the kind words.

We got her home yesterday. I got all the chassis wrap off and am starting to get it all cleaned up.

I figured it's time for an update. I haven't really begun assembling the car yet. Still gathering parts, restoring sub assemblies, and writing checks.

The engine's not done yet, so the front clip still isn't on. Some delays with SD doing the heads, etc. We're back on track now.

This came in last Thursday, restored by Jon Havens, looks great. I took the easy way out, since this is a modified car, and used the '65 mechanical linkage rather than trying to piece together the vacuum stuff or find "the kit".

The new rolling stock got mounted today. I plan to use the black center caps, correct lugs, and no trim rings. Kind of going for the poverty cap look, but the expensive way.

Man, there's a lot of parts to go through to put one of these back together. Here's just some of what's ready.
