Default COMMENTS AND CRITICISM PART3

Well, here we are again; my favorite time of the year. Projects winding down and Dayton CLOSE.
NO big projects this year. Spent a lot of time on the puter and phone chasing some great parts and on this forum looking for answers!! Still a lot of good stuff out there; just have to keep digging for it. So here goes. I'll post some pics on things I hope I improved on!!??
First pic is a 187 coil I latched on to.
Second is the date coding I added to the clutch.
Third is the tri power wire loom I switched to.
Fourth is the orig. filler cap I stumbled across!!

A few more.
First is the washer hose clips the forum noted I did not have.
Second is my OK 1 and some overspray I decided to start doing this year.
Third is the P bolts I forgot I saved and finally found.
Fourth is some more overspray.
Fifth the same.

Great detail and a lot of work. Looks great. Can you show more of the alternator. I think a see a series of stamps on the front frame. Also what does the back of the alt look like. Great detail.

WarEagle; Must be my picture taking ability. There isn't anything unusual on the front frame. Just the normal 1100683 DEDA DEDA DEDA.
On the rear frame, the diodes have script stamped on each one.

Your pictures are 100% better than mine. I was looking at the battery picture and the front of the alt is visible. It looks like a string of numbers stamped on the side of the alt. frame. They usually appear on the frame just below the top adjust bracket ear. DEDA DEDA Is that date and amp?
Great detail Bill.

I know we have discussed this before. I think my 'LIL BRO (bigpop) talked of this a year or so ago.
I was tring to decide what to do with the spare tire hold down plating. I got the pressure washer out and gave it a good thrashing!! Top is normal wear and tear but the bottom side plating has a very distinct gold rainbow look to it. I tried for a picture. The part below my thumb shows it best. What was decided, or do we ever decide??????? "Bill"!

No idea about the plating on the hold down, I always thought silver, but no proof. While you have that hold down out, how about showing me which way you have your jack mechanism oriented.

Bill,

Please keep in mind that new and well preserved silver (clear) cadmium plating can often manifest a light gold appearance due to the plating process. When new, there is seldom an issue in determining the difference between gold iridite and silver cadmium, even when the light gold appearance occurs on the cadmium plated component. However, after 50 years of exposure, the rapid wear rate of gold iridite resulting in a faint gold appearance, when any residual coating remains, can imitate that of a newly cadmium plated component.
Do you have access to someone (platers will often have this capacity) who could test the piece? This would be a real find for the hobby to know that these pieces were coated in gold iridite! However, several pieces should be tested for traces of the gold iridite before a final proclamation is made.

Here you go Ron. Be it correct or not, this is the way it's been since 1990.
I know everyone is looking at the lug wrench color. When I looked at my picture, I went back to the garage and checked. The handle appears to be the same color, but its not. It's much darker. Must be the lighting OR my picture taking ability OR BOTH. "Bill"!

Thanks much bill. That's about how I have mine laying. Funny how cameras frequently don't capture shades of colors accurately.

bill, is your alternator clocked correctly? I thought the gray coupler should be at the top, which puts the red cable at 9 o'clock.
