They are very good and their attention to detail is great. They are supposed to be one of the best body shops in our area for restorations.
I hope I don't become afraid to drive the car when it is done. My intention is to do a few cross country tours with it. I would love to drive Old Route 66.

I wanted a bright true red and my wife is the one that suggested to paint it the color of her Toyota Solara. I do believe she was spot on with her advise.

The dash now has paint and they have buffed out the fenders and doors. They are still working on all of the small pieces for the front, around the windshield, and the rear tail light extensions, then they will be able to start putting it back together. I might actually have a car back in my garage by the end of the year, actually I am hoping for a Fall/Winter project so by Spring it is road ready.

They are still moving a long with the car. They have been painting all of the little pieces and are now starting to put it all back together. I am still hoping to get it back in time for a winter project and have it back on the road next spring.

Looking good! Top of dash should be zero gloss to eliminate glare.

I know, I just don't like that look. I have seen cars with the dash painted correctly and ones where the semi-gloss is used on the entire dash and I like the look of the entire dash painted semi-gloss. Since this is not an original car I figured it wouldn't hurt anything.

The main reason I bought this car was because I wanted a car that wasn't original that I could change and modify without worrying about trashing an original rare car. I look at it that I would have the best of two worlds, I have a great old car that still looks original, but has been updated and modified to my taste.

I think the car looks great! Originality aside, I was just pointing out a potential safety hazard.

I didn't take it as a bad comment and I figured you were just concerned of the glare from the semi-gloss paint. I appreciate your comments. It is nice to know that other Pontiac enthusiast like what you are doing with your car. People who aren't into old cars just don't understand until they get bit by the bug to restore one

They are hoping to start putting the fenders back on soon. Right now they are putting my Vintage Air in for me while the fenders are off. They are also putting on the new brake booster and dual master cylinder and bleeding the brake lines. Another thing I thought would be better done before the fenders went back on. It is hard to see in the pictures of the interior but you can make out the Vintage Air under the dash.

The brakes are now complete and they have installed the left fender. They are waiting on the right fender until they finish installing the Vintage Air components.

That is what I am hoping for. I would really like to do a Power your and a Route 66 Tour. I think it would be great to cruise down America's Highways with hundreds of other classic cars.

Looks nice Dale. What is he paint color? It looks almost the same as my 66 GTO's red paint.

It is called Absolutely Red. It is a Toyota paint and the code is 3P0. When I was looking for a nice bright red that was as pure as I could find I did not need to look any further than my wife's Solara. She is the one that recommended the color and I think she was right.
Thanks for the compliment, it looks even better in person. I can't wait to get it home and get it finished so I can get it back on the road.
