Default Storage of rebuilt engine

I'm going to store my rebuilt 455 this winter.
I have the valley pan and oil pan off.
Would it be OK to spray the internal parts with a dry silicone spray . I will probably being braking in the motor at the beginning of the year.
Thanks

I would put the oil pan and valley pan on even if you don’t seal them to keep the insides better protected.

I wouldn’t spray anything inside, one winter sitting isn’t going to hurt anything.

Fogging oil is sprayed inside the cylinders through the spark plug holes, I wouldn’t want that inside if I’m breaking it in within a few months.

Climate controlled storage is best if you can somehow manage it.

No need to drive yourself nuts if it’s on a engine stand.
Get a new roll of kitchen plastic wrap and use the whole roll to mummify it and then if it makes you feel better load a big plastic leaf bag over it and close the end off with twine.
