Another post got me thinking about date codes, but I didn't want to hijack it so I'll start a new one....
My 70 Formula axle date was only 9 days prior to the Van Nuys body build date of 3/18. This got me thinking that the 12 bolt axle may have been in short supply and may have even been the limiting factor for the build rates of HiPo versions of early 70 F-cars.
If you know the build week of your '70 car and the build date of your 12 bolt axle please post a reply so we can see if others are as closely spaced as mine.

Build date 7/11 and I think my rear end is 6/10.

My Van Nuys 70 trans am has a build date of 4/13 and the original COV 12 bolt is dated 4/8. This is the latest date code on the car, although the trans is a close second with a date code of 4/2.
