Default 35030 Hedman's on a 64

Has anyone used the 35030 Hedmans on a 64 A body? The catalog shows them to fit a 66-67 only.

The collectors are flat, 4 into 1. Just an FYI.

Thanks for the reply. What kind of massaging did you have to do? I hope they fit. Because I ordered them today.

Mike,

I'm running a similar Hedman with my D-ports. Easiest hedder I ever put on any car. I've had them for 8 years, I don't have my paper work for the part number, I have the engine out, I can send pics if you have need them.

Did you see the pics of dads 59 Catalina?

Calvin

I had to slightly ding both back tubes ,they go over the frame into the fenderwells and then back under the car but very easy to install like calvin said I still have my inner wells on the car so it was probably a little more work

tempest455, what does the sign "no-bolts-just gaskets" mean? Is this what Hedman requires? Also I am not sure how the go over the frame and thru the fenderwll? Do they come apart? Thanks -Jim

since tempest455 isnt on ill answer for him. they do take gaskets just not included. they come apart at the collecter, the front tubes on both sides seperate when you take loose at collecter and the rear tubes come loose and the drivers rear on mine is 2 pieces. when installing the biggest part is the center 2 primaries then the end pieces go on and lastly the flat collecter. ive never had a set of hedders fit better not even when it was an auto car these clear all my 4 speed stuff

I'm not sure of the part number, same design, had to cut a hole into the inner fender well, but my D-ports fit great!

Call PONTIACDUDE. I bought some from him a few years back and they were "reasonably" priced. Plus, I got to talk to Danae(SP) who was VERY NICE & HELPFULL.

I have a set of the round port 1 7/8" to 2" stepped ceramic coated Hedmans that I would let go pretty cheap. A couple of the tubes got beat up from some big wheelstands. I am buying a new set, but the full 2" version. I think they fit great. But if you talke to the guys at Hedman they will tell you otherwise because of "frame spread" No probs with mine

I had a set of the Original "Bee-Line" JR Racing "D-Port" headers with the adaptor plates and a flat collector. EACH tube went on separately. I could put those headers on with my fingers. Very good
set of headers. I did have to trim 3/16" off the flanges on the lower control arms to allow for suspension travel under rise but that was it.
