This car is very cool... I had a '61 wagon that i wanted to do this kinda thing with.
I drove it with a 455/2-4 setup. it only ran hi 13's...but that was with 3.23 gear and 29.5 slicks... hit the traps at 4000rpm...over carbureted...2-500cfm carbs. Longbranch manifolds and 2 1/2'' exhaust. .407 stock cam and stock #62 heads with dished trw's.
It got 10mpg and i drove it 80miles round trip a day to work....loved it
