Same gov't agencies that required helmets for all motorcycle riders, then did away with that requirement, but you damn well better have a seat belt on if pulled over. You can ride without a helmet, but you can't drive without a seat belt.
Now if your car is so old that it never had seat belts when it was manufactured you don't have to install seat belts, and can drive without them. Yeah, I see the logic there, NOT. |

Correct me if wrong, but I believe later doors are thinner gauge outside metal than earlier doors. (Along with structural inside panel differences of course). I am not sure welding inside panel in is best option, I would repair an old door first.

I would to. be tricky welding that, all the openings would make warping difficult to avoid. most any original door just needs lower panel and skin anyway.
when I removed the original skin, vs repop quite the difference. but.....I don't want the xtra weight for skins/quarters and fenders. the items iv'e purchased are for the later models and they were in fact, very likely thinner material even as originals. |

so much extra weight in the doors, yet the overweight driver cruises for fat chicks. Rebuild the hinges every 30 years and get over it.

I have a pair from a 71 if you are in the Calgary area. They don’t need skins but have some dents. Let me know if your interested. I’ll dig them up and take some pics.
