Well, I run a 4.25 crank and I do not see why a 4.5 crank would not fit.
Its really close to the cross member. I had to tap in one spot because it contacted the pan where a plug was located.
One where you have to sick a long 1/4" drive extension through to get to pan bolts. 3/8 stuff would not fit.

The quality of stamped steel pans seems to be getting worse over time. Might have to talk to them about one.
