Default Noise

I found a thread on here about undercoating and I have a questions. My car was not undercoated by the painter or AMD. Every rock or pothole or bad place for road noise I pass is just amplified by uncoated wheel wells and trunk floor. My question is do I want the coating to be like a rhino liner style product or something like regular rubberized undercoating. What are you guys using in these applications?

I’ve been using the raptor bed liner underneath and a bubble wrap inside including behind the headliner. Makes for a nice quiet ride like a new car and not a tin can inside. Also glue the bubble wrap to the door and quarter skins so double insulated.

I also had Raptor liner installed underneath. Quiet plus protects from rock chips

Road noise:
Under-inflated or worn tires.
Uhm, rear coils that lack the rubber isolation pads at EACH end.
A rattle with the package tray system, and the Deck Lid 2-ply glue spots.
The exhaust leaks.

Fix those and just. maybe you will hear a tiny rattle-squeak from the dash area flex.

Nowhere have i seen the need to add tar mats to reduce road noise. That should be a wow moment to others.

Sooo, after carefully building a solid body-mount moto- mount early bird, and a 68 GTO, i tink the lack of "deadener" can be achieved, yet include the raw engine and trans vibes, while being able to hear the stereo or passenger. Takes a bit of 3m glue to tack harnesses and such.
