You have to see what the problem is. If one of the cables that attach to the control wand broke at the wand, it's pretty much junk. Post some pictures of what you find, we'll try and help.

There is no rubber in the remore except the gasket on the door. Still would like to see a picture of what you think the problem is.

ok..here is the problem..the wires is the only thing that holds the mirror back..must be something loose or broken here..or should it be som spring power in the wires that drags it backwards??

Nothing missing that I see. That little tang needs to go in the slot for the mirror to sit in the housing right. Can you post pictures of the cables going into the wand?

that aluminum back that holds the mirror glass is very thin
Ive seen the little ball thats on the end of the cable actually pull thru.
there should be little springs in there

Think you're wrong Cammer. I have several of these type mirror glass and all look like Farmers, none have a spring on the mirror end. The spring is on the wand end and is what keeps tension on the cable. I think something is wrong on his wand end. All mine look like his, like these.

Farmer, is the above picture of the one wire you disconnected or is it the way you removed it from the door panel? If the latter, the head of the red wire needs to go in the cup. If not, I have no clue what might be wrong. Also post a picture of the totally different end.
