Help Identifying these stripes
I picked up a lot of parts from an individual recently. Included are 2 white roof stripes in GM boxes. Part numbers on the box and on the stripe backing paper is 493356, Group 12.183. Also on the box is the number 0112MC. Also on the backing paper is a part no. 481963 that has been scratched out.
Has anyone seen this stripe before, and can identify what it's for? Thanks.

One of those is a white stripe for a blue '70 T/A. They have the fade pattern on the outside like the blue stripes that went on white cars.
I don't know if Pontiac ever had plans to use these in production (if they did, someone changed their mind and went with the solid outer black stripe), or they were just a mistake on the supplier's part, and they somehow got into the service parts supply. There have been some past threads on these if you search. They turn up every now and then.
