Default Palm Sunday Weather

I know you guys in the northern climes see cold weather right into spring and beyond, but for north central Florida this is the classic pattern; warm weather up until the first or second weekend in April, which usually means Easter weekend, then one last blast of cold. It has blown at 20-25 with gusts to 40 all day long and now NOAA says we will see 36* and light frost around 5 am Sunday. My wife always said that until Easter has come there will be one more freeze. The high on Monday will be back to 82!

We’re under a freeze advisory tonight. Two weeks ago it was in the upper 70s; today, the temp barely got above 49 degrees. We also had snow showers and ice pellets yesterday evening and this morning.

In all the years I've been here in my home I've never seen this much water pond-ed in the backyard. The old clay underneath the top soil is doing a job. 36 now cold, going to 54 so they say.

Same here, Bob. The ground is saturated, but after our chilly start this morning it is now 70 degrees with plenty of sunshine. We decided to sit out on our back deck this evening.

SW Wisconsin here,I usually count on snow till the 2-3rd week of April. It did snow a few times this week, but it disappeared soon enough. It was nice enough to go out and pressure wash the deck and shed today.

About 75 today and a light breeze.

Yesterday was about 87, we had two days in the mid-90s before that.

Cooling down into the 60s and 70s for next week.

Isn't the every day California weather prediction sunny, and 75 with a 80% chance of earthquakes???

There’s been a major earthquake here roughly every 20 years or so.

I’ve been through both the ‘71 Sylmar and ‘94 Northridge earthquakes, 6.7 and 6.6 magnitude respectively. The many minor tremors over the years aren’t even worth mentioning.

I can live with that.
