High. Correct for all non-halogen 1978-81 F bodies.

The distribution bulletin posted earlier shows the Tungsten Quartz Halogens being available, and the bulletin was dated January 15th, 1979. They referred to Distribution Bulletin 79 F-10 from December 15th, 1978.

Here's the actual bulletin, dated November 3rd, 1978, so this is when orders began to be processed for Tungsten Quartz Halogens.

I'm posting this in case anyone with a November-January build was curious as to when these headlamps were actually available.

Cool, nothing like a bulletin to back it up. Thanks for posting.

Here are some GE halogens that appear to have made their way into delco boxes.

Buyer beware!

I paid $5 ea, I got a few off of Reaper and a few at the swaps. The guys still have tubs full at the swaps, and you get the bucket and stainless trim ring for $5. Now I got a tum full of them. Lol.

Bringing this back from the dead.....searching for an original low beam (small font) headlight for my 79. Anyone have/know where I can find one or more?

Is there a reason for originality? These lights were widely used on GM vehicles and can be picked up at any auto zone etc.

Different strokes for different folks. At least with the early Guide non-halogen rectangular bulbs, they can be distinguished from several feet away. I never drive my car at night, so the lighting power is a non issue.

Yep, just trying to stay as original as possible. Guy had one at the TA Nats last weekend but I missed it.

All of the NOS 4652's on EBay right now are GE supplied bulbs in Delco boxes. Appear to be from the mid-late 80's.
