1976 Trans Am 455 4 Speed Drivetrain
Just picked up a complete '76 drivetrain from a TA. Subframe, motor, trans and rear. The guy just dropped it all out to build a PT car so all brackets, shifter with linkage and all. I'm having trouble finding the codes for the rear, this appears to have a PT G82341 stamped on the rear. The trans looks like a ST10 but has a cast iron case? I thought ST10 were aluminum. Any thoughts or help?

Look and see what the number is on the passenger's side of the transmission case. I think some 81 Camaros came with a cast iron case super t10 and there was an over the counter super t10 with a cast iron case and tougher gears. The cast iron case should be a 904 case.
