Space savers were NOT put on 7 inch rims. This doesn't disagree with Half-Inch Stud as his was 6 inch rim.
That said, at the Pontiac dealer we had stacks of removals as people didn't trust them, sitting in a very large junk pile out back. This brings up that some customers would buy a extra wheel and ask for their original space saver to be installed. GM put out a bulletin on this and Forbade it. Customers were trying to do this stuff when cars were brand new as well as making a deal for a full size spare if they could get a salesman to toss it in the deal. We had to lock up factory full size tire/wheel take off's in the parts room just for the purpose of selling a car with a full size spare. In a cold winter space savers were only about 50% reliable to seat the bead and the tanks often had too low air pressure.

Just because someone hasn't "seen" it doesn't mean they don't exist.

Could be special ordered, could be dealer installed or it could be that this proves some self-professed experts don't know everything because they were not there building these cars.

Today, many/most vehicles don't even come with a spare tire. So, if you see a newer vehicle with a spare, does that mean it doesn't exist?

IMHO, 60's only, and 6 inch rim. I highly doubt a disc brake car got these .

Agreed. 69Bird has original Power DiscBrakes, rear drums, but Spacesaver was never tried on front or rear.

I seen an original paint '69 T/A with a "factory" sunroof.

Many claim it never happen.

With all my years of collision and body customization work, I looked that car's roof over for a good hour or more as well as the paperwork the owner had. Sure looked factory to me.

Funny you say that in the 80s I knew a guy w a 69 t/a w a sunroof from Canada (Canadian sheet rocker down here in CT) swore it was factory. Didn’t buy the car because of the sunroof ( so stupid looking back) I recently found out a friend of mine bought it that flipped a lot of cars and no idea where it went after that . No idea if that guy got the car from Canada or US either .

Not saying it was or wasn’t factory just saying it’s funny we both heard that same story
And ended up in this thread here today .

Very true. I can't say about other Pontiacs but I have found the exception is almost as prevalent as the rule when it comes to '68 Firebirds.

Well, I'm sure we all pretty much can assume that it is the only 1 to exist. Which is what the owner claimed.

That being said, this car was either being sold by a guy from Syracuse, NY or was purchase by a guy from Syracuse, NY. I don't recall the guy I was talking to about it.

It was also being sold at Carlisle which could mean that it has spent its whole life in the northeast. This would fall in line with what you stated.
