Default Pontiac TV commercials 1960s and 1970s

Many have probably come across this person already, but YouTuber OsbornTremain has posted tons of old car commercials for all makes. This is a link to the Pontiac ads: https://www.youtube.com/c/OsbornTram...?query=pontiac

Enjoyable to watch, but several of my favorites are not listed. (1) "1965 Bonnie and Clyde", (2) 1964 (G)irls (T)ake (O)ver, (3) GTO in desert 1970 maybe

While I liked all the Pontiac commercials throughout the years I found the late 60's and 70's were kind of corny.

The one I have always felt exemplified and screamed pure Pontiac was from 1988 > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h__l_HLlN5g

You could not listen to that commercial and not have your heart race.

IMO Pontiac had life by the balls in that era. Everywhere you looked you saw Grand Prix's, Grand Am's, Bonnevilles, Trans Am's, GTA's, Fieros, Sunbird's and 6000's. Pontiac was sponsoring Drag Racing, NASCAR, Concert Events, TV shows, you name it.

No doubt about it (in my eyes), Pontiac was hot, damn hot and everybody wanted one. Not too many people back then would argue that fact.

Agree with Champ that the 1988 one still gets the blood flowing but one of my favorites I saw live many times was this one. Bad (@ss) car for it’s time!!

And I mistyped the year as 1965 when in fact 1968

I hauled a lot of Pontiacs right up to 1993.To me he most "exciting" Pontiacs were from 1957 up to 1981. After that they were so toned down none had the excitement to get me to buy another new Pontiac. Pontiac let the buyers down right up to the end in 2009. Yes it was a shock but we saw it coming. That was the one thing about hauling cars. We were the very first to "test" them right out of the plant before they were loaded on the trucks. And again when off loaded at the dealers. Those rear tires were broken in before you got them. LOL

Not every one was "tested" but a good share of them were. Especially if it was a car that had any hype to what was under the hood.... but usually it was a big disappointment for any Pontiacs after 1981. Yeah, all of the Trans AM models too because of the lack of interior room, and the power the government robbed from the engines.
