1969 RAIV value ?
Guys, I need some help on the value of a 1969 RA IV that is complete from Carb to oil pan. I don't know the condition of it at this time, but would like to get a feel for the numbers before it is looked at for value.
Please give me your estimate from bad condition to very good.condition. Thanks, Jim |

It will always be worth more to someone restoring a car. And even more if the date codes work for a specific car.
My guess would be 3k-10k. Assuming: correct carb, distributor, intake etc. |

Please note that for the RA4 heads to be production original the machining for the center head bolt under the valve cover will be seen to have wiped out 80% of the casting date pad.
This would have a huge impact on the worth of the heads if they where purchased over the parts counter!

Carb is worth $3500. Heads $3000. Intake $750. Block $3500. Figure in the other parts.
As someone mentioned if you find the car that belongs in could bring huge money!

I would think your more likely to get more money separating it. But people would also call you names for that. I might take less money and keep the whole thing intact. Sleep better at night.

Also condition is everything .. You have to question why was it taken out of service car wreck or spun bearing dropped valve .. I wouldn't pony up serious money for the short block without looking under the oil pan and valve covers while rotating

Depends if it's from a gto or a firebird
Makes a big difference price wise.

If it's an SR block will also effect value. Would to see if there is a VIN on the block, what the casting date is, date on the carb. A lot of the "original" 7028273 manual carbs are clones. I think the auto carb also brings less money. I agree if it's all original and correct it would be worth strong money to the person with the car it came out of

Did I miss if its a auto or stick shift engine?A stick shift carb is worth way more than a auto. The code on the block would really help also.Tom
