Can anyone can get a picture of the air door on their shaker scoop (from inside car) showing what (if anything) originally covered the metal door?

The 74 GTO scoop utilized the same frame and door as the 70-72 Trans Am. The frame is aboue 1/2" thick and runs around the edge of the scoop. Places like PY or Ames carry the kit to make the scoop operational. I'm sure PY's online catalog and I know Ames online catalog has pictures of the frame and door together. My dad has a 72 T/A and his frame was on his scoop but the door was missing. The repro frame is identical. Actually, the frame that is included with the block-off plate on the 73-76 scoops is pretty much the same thing, only minus the holes. The frame was scoop color while the door was black.

74GOATBOY, I don't have any pictures. I don't know about the Trans Ams' but, the GTOs' have what looks like a closed-cell black foam rubber with an adhesive-type backing, approx 15 mils thick. Mike.

Thanks for the info, it was helpful. I'm still gonna try to find a picture somewhere. Somebody's got to have a complete resto done that can clear this up for me.
