Its been along time since I replaced it with a temp gauge probe/capillary tube,....whats the technical name for the emissions control device that threads into the water crossover.
I'd like to obtain one.....somewhere.

So you want the sensor that connects to the carb and egr valve, right? I think I have one extra, but I'd have to check this weekend. You may want to check for an NOS unit. I could dig up the part number if you don't have it.

Best I can tell by the MPC, Larry, this would be the EGR valve thermostatic vaccum switch (EGR-TVS), Group 3.670, PN 3030458.
The GM number crosses over to an AC-Delco PN 212-7 and a Borg Warner PN EC901, but both appear to be discontinued. . However, NAPA/Echlin part number 21003 appears to still be available! Hope this helps, Larry.

i thought i read somewhere, on here, that those jobs are only around with one terminal.
if that thing originally had three vertical spade terminals, youll be out of luck in the aftermarket.

That should actually only have vacuum connections.

The one you're missing has two vacuum ports, the other one that's for the distributer has two vacuum ports and a third stuby port on the bottom for air.

All SD engines were installed in cars after the March 15th, 1973 emission control update so they use the 2nd design. 1974 is almost the same except the two TVS were combined into one.

Larry - glad to hear that it was still available!
Does it appear to be the correct switch?
