I reinstalled the hood on my 67 Lemans after installing the motor and transmission and can not get the front of the hood to line up properly with the header panel. The car was recently restored and painted without a motor or tranny in it,and the hood lined up nicely with the fenders and header panel. I marked the hood before taking it off and was able to align it up to the fenders, windshield valance, and front edge of the header panel; but I have a large gap between the center of the hood and the center of the header panel. I've adjusted the hood latch down to the point where you have to slame the hood to latch it, but there is still about 3/8 inch gap between the center of the hood and the header panel. Is there any adjustment to the header panel?
