Default Joined the ranks of the small cars.

Just picked up my next project. 1963 LeMans 2dr coupe. 326 4 barrel automatic. Thought it might be an HO but checked block I'd and it's not, so now I can do whatever I want with it.

Don't mean to be rude but I'll ask:How much did you pay for it?

Reason: I've been debating for a few months about buying a 63 4cyl 4 spd that has some dings and dents but has a pretty much rust free condition and decent interior.

I already have a 63 project car converting to 428/Muncie/leaf spring so I need another 63 like a hole-in-the head. (I have owned five 63's over the years.)

I know your market is different than mine, just trying to get a feel for an overall market.

Thanks!

I probably paid to much, 4500 but I've always wanted one. Speaking of money pits heres my other 63.

Your big car is a box of chocolates compared to the little car.Done way too many of both of them and would tackle a big car again before ever doing the little one.Good luck with your project.I paid 3500 for my latest and was in WAY better shape than yours and im into it for right at 19K now and still has original interior except for carpet.Tom

It's amazing how "not so little" the '63 LeMans look once one starts putting them next to 2nd Gen Birds & '64-72 2door A-bodys.. My '63 LeMans project, same color as hobbyGTO's, is finally going to get some more much needed attention, been mothballed with minimal progress taking place since '98.

Now I'm confused, just got my 63 Tempest chassis shop manual and it really doesn't say what the engine codes are for the HOs but it does say that the HOs were the only ones to get the AFB four barrels. My car has the AFB. Guess maybe I should send in for the PHS. Any thoughts on this?

Get the PHS, money well spent. I have a 63 HO engine, code on block is 70X if that helps. Heads are 9772652 and intake is 9770274.
