That is probably as clean an "original driver" as I've ever seen; at least from what can I tell in your pics. Scored big on that one!!

I notice today while doing some clean up in the engine compartment that it still has the packard spark plug wires dated 3rd quarter 1979,Jim have you weighed you're GA yet. This week i'm either adding some rally II or 15x8 snowflakes.

Very nice. I always liked that era car.
They are not sexy ,like a 70 GTO,more like handsome, business like. Time for a mild 455,keep it a sleeper!

Cool.
I had a very simmilar '80 Lemans, 1988-1992. Mine was two-tone, maroon over burgandy. It had the 229 V-6 and no A/C. |

[QUOTE=shotgun;3321632]Very nice. I always liked that era car.
They are not sexy ,like a 70 GTO,more like handsome, business like. I agree 100 %. The GA's, Lemans and Malibu's were actually pretty "elderly" looking with their 14" steel wheels with 4" of backspacing. But put on some Rallye II's or even better, some Alumastars with 3.5's in front and 8" or more in back and they took on a real attitude. |

Does that finally assembly location say Oshawa, Ontario? They must have built some for sale in the U.S.A. because I thought thought all the A bodies except Grand Ams came with the 267 as the base V-8 in Canada.

Tin injun Tom,your correct it was built in Oshawa, Ontario and shipped to McCaysville,Ga.It was new to me that they built Lemans in Canada,i wish it had the Turbo 350 instead of the metric 200.

Nice looking 80 Lemans. Looks like you got a good deal.
I also have an 80 that I've been tinkering with for a few years. Keep us up to date on your plans and progress. Bill |
