Default 1967 GTO with HO engine, 4 spd, PHS

I am going to sell my 67 GTO. I thought I would put it on here first, before I try ebay or whatever else I need to do to sell.

The PHS docs show this was originally:
Tyrol Blue
Parchment bucket seats
400 HO engine
4 speed
Console
Radio-Push Button
Glass-Soft Ray-All
Saf-T-Trac-HD differential

Starts and runs but needs a new clutch and engine rebuilt.

The body is good but needs some work on the rocker panels.

Someone long ago changed the color to red with black buckets. The paint is old and has some places that have small areas of peeling. Some of the trim pieces are off but I have parts and have pics of them. I am missing the console and rocker moldings.

Any thoughts on pricing?

I have more pics.

original engine?
Everything I can see is not original, from the shifter handle to the intake/valve covers/carb

Is that an a/c control unit dash in a non a/c car? And no woodgrain on the dash, lemans steering wheel? (typically in a lemans)

Seems like your value would come from the HO 4spd aspect. So, the best you document that..the better.
Price will swing wildly depending on that.
670 heads, WS block? Original trans? 3:55 rear?

That's gonna be a tough one to price. But like Clay mentioned, the most value will be in having the HO pieces it came with. Put back original, it would be an exceptionally desireable '67, so the potential is there.
BTW, is that a 72 Skylark beside it?

Yes I had a 72 skylark convertible as a parts car for the restoration of my GS Stage 1 convertible.

I will get the codes off of the engine and post them.
This GTO has 2 engines. One that is currently in it is not original.
And one that came with the car. I will verify with my camera the codes to make sure it is original.

I agree about the difficulty of pricing a car that is missing parts and needs work.

Can you get the date code on the engine? P.O.P. would have the M.U.N. on it,but is that gone? Do you have the original shifter? That potenially is a really nice car depending on the originality of the drive train. I have ridden in an HO from 67 and it's a beast !!! Tyrol Blue is a great color, also. Larry B.

I have not seen the POP.

The casting date on the block is K136.

Does anyone have a ballpark range for the pricing?

I am open to thoughts and opinions. You will not hurt my feelings.

Do you have the date matching intake & 670 heads? Is that WS rebuildable?

You should check out the trans & rear end #'s to find out if they are original to the car.

The more info you have as to the cars originality the easier it is to set an asking price.

What condition are the floors/trunk floor/frame in?

pics,pics and more pics........

yea, 100 more questions

The paint looks decent, is that the angle that makes it shiny? Or is it driver/decent?

Motor that's in it is now is weak? Any value to that motor? Run good enough to play with for a while?
Muncie in it? Original?
original limited slip rear?

Why the a/c dash? That annoys me, but maybe not a big deal. That's from a lemans...no wood grain. And lemans steering wheel from '66.
Looks like the data plate is the correct one for the car....assuming the VIN matches and rivets look good....you're fine there

Floors? Are those metal patches over the floorpans in the interior, or the original soundproofing? Quarters replaced or rust free or bondo'd?

Really haphazard guess of price if you put it on ebay: $6-7,000 without more information. Assuming frame is pretty decent.
More original parts....paint is decent...motor in it can be ran...muncie....etc and other things looking good: $9,000
So, my guess is between $6,000 and $9,000. I know that doesn't help you much - but there's too many options to guess at.
Frame bad? $5,000 Really bad? maybe less? Vin tags look a bit funny? etc....

Project cars aren't doing too well right now. None are, I suppose...
It'd help substantially if the motor in it was able to be driven for a while...while someone could have the original motor restored.

It looks like a nice project car for someone.
I'd love to have that one in the corner of the yard for a daily driver

I checked on most of the engine parts today. I will post the pics tomorrow.

Heads are 670.

Original valve covers are in a box.

It appears to be the original water pump. I will post a pic tomorrow.

The WS is definitely rebuildable.

Floors, trunk and frame are solid. Minor surface rust on trunk surface but can be rubbed off easily.

I will check the trans and rear tomorrow.

The body is solid. I don't see anything else other than the rockers. Maybe around the rear glass. I will take a pic of it to confirm.

I will also show pics of the inside of the quarters so you can see.

Here goes...

The paint is actually shiny but definitely will need to be redone as there are some areas where it is peeling.

The motor thats in it now runs. It might need a tune-up due to sitting for so long.

I will check the trans and rear tomorrow.

I bought the car as you see it.

The sound proofing is on the floor. The floor is solid.

I will put a magnet on the 1/4s and also look inside the trunk and feel the wheel lips tomorrow.

Here are some pics of engine parts and the body.

I checked the wheel well lips. The driver side feels like all metal. The passenger side has a little more thickness to it in a small area. When I looked in the trunk I do not see any signs of work on the quarters.

The back window surround is clean on top and the sides. The bottom has one place about an inch that has rust. There is a small amount of bubbling under the paint. I took pictures of it so you can see.
