Sometimes you just don't know if you don't ask:

Also got some bolstered seat foams from TMI Products and had them covered in leather:

Should be interesting. Shipping weight for the LS3 is 360lbs. I've heard a 400 with accessories on it is over 650lbs.

I can say the front end came up when we pulled the old motor and didn't go down at all with the new one. I wasn't sure it was resting on the mounts until I looked - I mean the car didn't move at all.

What did the weight come out at?

This is the first I saw this thread. Very nice car! Nice combination of parts. I'll bet it is fun to drive!

So, I got these bolstered seat foams from TMI Products. They look great, but now you have to be a midget to fit in the car. The cushions are a LOT taller than before. No good.

So, i tried some Procars. You can see how much lower they are. They're nice, but too tight around the thighs.

This week I bought a set of 04-06 GTO seats on eBay. They're in really nice condition. I'm sure mounting them will be a challenge though!

Approximately 3450. I'm sure the big wheels and brakes put some weight back on the car.

A few people on the board have already. I'm sure if you search you'll find the threads.
Also, those are seats out of a 2004 Pulse Red(the 40th Anniversary GTO) and they're the only seats where the GTO script is in red vs white in all the other newer GTO's.

From those pics it appears you changed from the original style seats (I see just the front of a perforated cushion). I know you had 2004 GTO seats in mind. Did you end up using them and recovering them in a matching blue leather? Would love to see an interior shot again.
That car is amazing!!

Nice LS3. Yeah I've seen those Procar Rallye's at Legendary. Looks like a comfortable seat. Really like the vertical stitching, looks like it belongs there.

The ProCars were too tight around the thighs. Uncomfortable. I ended up going with late model GTO seats. At some point I'd like to change the color and lose the headrests.

Where the TMI seats the Legendary Auto Interior bolstered foams/covers by chance? I just ordered these and according to legendary, the seats sit like a normal bucket in the middle, they just have bolstered sides but they're forgiving because its all foam and no bracketry. I'm just wondering if i'm hosed here too?

I tried the procars rally 1000's as well last week. Not only were they terribly uncomfortable, they looked TERRIBLE in my 67' GTO imo. The vinyl looked cheap and didn't match the factory stuff at all. I was very surprised based on what I have seen in magazines etc. For reference in case someone searches this later.... i'm 6'2" 235lbs, 50" coat, 36/34 jeans and large legged. If you are my size these seats WILL NOT work for you. They will be very uncomfortable in your outer leg area. Not so much in your back and sides but the butt/leg area is terrible, you will be sitting on the bolster. The reason I put this on here is because i spent hours searching google for a reference to someones actual measured size in compassion to the procar rallye 1000 seats and found nothing. To top this off you will have to make special brackets to get these seats to sit right. The factory procar brackets sit you up way too high, even for someone who is 5'8" I would think it would be pushing it.

Check out my pic several posts above of a ProCar sitting next to my TMI bolstered seat. As you can see the TMI sits all the way up to the door handle. Ridiculous. I could barely sit in the car and couldn't get them out fast enough. Money wasted.

Yeah they look tall. I guess i'm wondering if these are a TMI product or a Legendary Auto Interior products? The Legendary piece looks stock other than the bolsters, the piece you have there looks like someone added height even to the stock areas of the seat foams.

Heres a shot of the legendary seat.....

I had no idea Legendary had their own version of a bolstered seat. Mine are from TMI.

I have the Procars in my 68 GTO. You are right, in stock form they are too tight in the sitting area. A bigger guy sits on the side bolsters but not on the seat bottom. That is uncomfortable. We opened up the seats and removed two steel bars inside the bolsters. Now the bolsters can move sideways if you sit on them and let your bum sit on the seat bottom. Feels like sitting two inches lower than before. Now these seats are very comfortable! A small change that i will also perform on my 69 Firebird that i bought with these seats installed.

By the way: Fantastic car!

CFster, was wondering about your PA pump module setup. I'm going to build a stock tank using this module (in-tank Walbro 255lph), initially to feed a EZ-EFI...may move to LS3 or LS7 at some point. How has the tank worked for you (slosh control, starvation, etc...)? Any gotchas? Did you keep the stock sender and just plug off the feed/return? Did you recess the module?

Great thread - very informative.

Greg, sorry I didn't see the notification email. The PA didn't fit in the Spectra tank so it went in the stock one. No starvation issues yet - though I haven't been on a track with it. I used a returnless setup by way of a Corvette fuel filter/regulator.
