What was in them from factory? A full size matching spare or a space saver spare?

I am second owner of my 75 and have had it for 20 years. I still has the original full size spare. I am going to put the space saver one in though, because I like to pack lawn chairs and a cooler for the shows. Very limited trunk space.

I believe space saver spares were an option.

Space saver---option-N65. Not sure but the way it looks, the spacer was an option and that a full size was std. Something else I found out by looking at my paper work and the sales brochure is that Trans Am's came std. without the hood decal. It was option #WW7--$55. I've always heard of it as "bird delete" but that's not correct. They just didn't opt for the decal.

Thanks everyone Looks like I'll have to make a decission on which to use but I have the Space Saver Spare in my 69 400 conv. and an original inflator can and I get lots of feedback at the shows on how cool they are. I to will be packing the trunk for cruises and shows so maybe I'll call up Sonic Motors for what I need That guy has everything under the sun and more. MA

75Fire,

On my original window sticker the space saver spare tire is listed .00, however it might be part of another option package even though it is not listed as such. I even got a 55.00 deduction in price for not ordering the bird.
My 75TA final assembly point was Norwood ohio and list price was 5700.10. I picked it up from my dealer on July 21 1975 and paid 5040.53 tax and tag included. I also have all the original option and advertising books for 1975 along with the 75 factory service manual.
Now even with all that I have also seen 1975 TAs with a fullsize spare tire, its just one more thing that makes this hobby more interesting.
