The rear window on my 76 TA broke while installing the metal panel that goes between the trunk and window. After two years it was almost ready to hit the road. I can't locate a 76 rear window replacement. Can anyone please help?

The rear window should be the same from 1975-1981.
The only difference would be for the defrost window with the wires in it.

I would think any glass shops should be able to get it.

Also the junk yard should have them if you want used.

Yep, the rear glass is the same for the Camaro and Firebird 75-81. You should be able to find one of these pretty easy.

Thanks for the replys. Two glass companies in Cleveland and three in the Lorain Co. area were unable to get one. I'm driving to Pa. tomorrow to pick one up from Anthony of Atransam.com . He's been really helpful and has posted my TA on his site. Hope to be able to send him a new pic with the blower next week! Wish me luck!

Curious.
What is the difference between the 70 thu 74 and the 75-81 that the earlier ones won't work?

I tried to get the lighter Chinese glass (5/7lbs) and my glass dude told me that they are not available aftermarket, just the front. But never asked him about any differences in rears as I never knew there was with all the 2nd gen.

The 70 thru 74 rear window just goes across the back, the 75 thru 81 wraps around into the sail panel toward the doors.
