Default fuel system help

just want to run this by you guys before installing,,,,

im going to run an in line 40 micron cleanable filter in front of the Holley blue pump then from the regulator to the carbs im putting this 10 micron paper in line filter, im also going to run a return line back to the tank.

btw this is for my tripower setup,,, i was going to set the fuel pressure to 5 pounds.

does this sound ok? thanks

I assume that by "in front" you mean the filter will be between the tank and the pump?.If so, that is right.Use a metal mesh one.
I like to put the carb filter "in front" of the regulator(between the pump and reg.).That filter is to catch debris that passes threw or is created by the pump.
Also like it before the reg. since the fuel is being pushed threw at full pressure and your pressure setting will be more accurate not having a restriction after the gauge.

Correct, you want to filter the fuel before it enters the pump.

You should run like an 80-100 micron (coarse) filter before the pump, and the finer filter (40-10 micron) after the pump, and preferably before the regulator.

The filter between the tank/cell and the pump should offer absolutely zero resistance to flow or it can cause cavitation/vapor lock concerns.

If the filter causes a restriction, said restriction causes issues.

As the fuel is put under suction,it drops the fuels boiling point, but when fuel is under pressure the boiling point is higher, this is why restrictions on the pressure side are much less of a concern than they are when they're on the suction side of the system.

The higher the pressure, the higher the fuels boiling point,vacuum/suction is just extremely low (negative) pressure.

This is why EFI cars rarely have vapor lock issues, the pumps are in the tank as SOP often, and the majority of the system is under higher fuel pressures when in use, even the return often has some pressure in it.

If you think of this in the same sort of fashion as you would a cooling system, you would be on the right track.
