Have you finished the exhaust system ? I am interested in the pipe routing. Any other

Ya know, after all the times I've viewed this thread, it just dawned on me that you're doing this in Iceland. That impresses me even more, you don't have an easy access to parts or support.

MORE KUDOS!

Shorty 12 bolt truck style rear. 3.08:1 gears, passenger 12 bolt 3 series Eaton Posi (had to machine minor clearance to make it fit), big Ford bearing style ends (cut out of billet), 30 spline Strange axles, BOP brakes from a 8.2 rear and lightened 7.5 S10 drums.

What a cocktail... LOL

welcome

there is another system offered by them with longer head pipes to mate to shorty headers. It may work better for you to adapt to manifolds. It's the same price as well.

Nice option if you don't have enough scraps.

Fired it up for the first time today.... Will post pics of the exhaust later. I installed a factory exhaust (almost direct fit) from a 2004 LQ4 Hummer and connected it to the pontiac manifolds with mandrel bent pipes.

That's just too cool!

A little (Unsolicited, I know) advice. Sell the Holley and get a Quadrajet for it. Preferably one done up by someone like Cliff Ruggles.

You'll probably end up with more power and you'll definitely enjoy better mileage.

Yes a q-jet would be better no question about that... I just have the holley on it for now, will do the change later when the car is all finished up.

Man I need to put up some fresh pics.. It's almost complete, just put it on 4 corner weights and looks like it will weight 2900lbs w/o driver!! That's nice considering all the heavy street parts that are on it ( 18" wheels, all steel, factory manifolds, factory hummer exhaust etc).
I'm putting a service replacement SD '74 Q-jet on it with electric choke, fresh rebuild kit and new primary rods from Cliff... I'm excited to test it out with the new carb

It sounds like a great ride! Potentially good mileage coupled with respectable power.

The Hedman shorty Pontiac headers may be justified in this case once your ready to dump the logs. Very nicely executed project!

It was like 59% front.. and pretty equal +/- 20 pounds between sides. I didn't write the info down since it's not 100% done yet. It's got the battery in the front and heavy stuff up front so that explains the front % numbers. But hey it's a street car! A car like this gutted out with e-headed motor and glide should be 2500lbs easy.
