Yes. The factory was very generous with the overspray. I had a 74,000 mile '71 T/A that had been sitting since '81 and was undercoated when new. When I peeled off the undercoating the frame rails where cameo white.

yes,the overspray on the frame rails is correct.

By the way, Rick (who posted earlier in this thread) is close by, and y'all could really help each other out. Rick is in the middle of restoring his '72 455HO Formula (bought from myself a few years back), and he's doing an AWESOME job of it. I'm certain that he could help you out with the resto job on your M22 car, and your survivor T/A would be a great reference for him.

Dunno if your M22 car has the correct bracket, so here's a couple of pics . . . As you can see from these pics, the correct bracket is "scalloped" to clear the passenger side air cleaner snorkel pre-heat tube.

Proper repro hard fuel line from pump to carb is available from PY, and fits well.

Lloyd - i guess when the a/c compressor was replaced the braket was swapped for some reason. I do have the correct bracket for my other car and yes they are very hard to find.

If you saw my Formula at Sewell, that would have been at the 2005 PSNs. It was just sitting on my trailer down from the show car area. I had raced the Formy on Saturday, and was showing my Shadow Gold 72 GTO WW5 car at Sewell on Sunday. Off topic, here's one pic of my GTO at Sewell that day. Alas, my Formula's condition has deteriorated greatly in the nearly five years since you saw it.

Brent - if I recall correctly I've heard that Barry Martin, Sonic Motors, is reproducing (or has reproduced) the scalloped HO A/C bracket. Might give him a shout. I seem to recall that Rick may have some info on this as well.

on your pic the bottom line (on the right of the splitter) goes to the distributor vac advance. the second (on the left of the splitter) goes to a check valve that connects to the Dash AC controls, the other i don't know. i took the pics a few months ago and the shaker is back on right now.

That was usually the way people would bypass them in the old days. But the problem is then that you are running full engine, not ported vaccuum to the distributor at all times.

I also see that he has a piece of hose with a screw in it on the front nipple of the TCS solenoid. That is actually suppoed to be the open end of the solenoid that just has the little foam filter slid over the open port. I believe it was designed as a relief so the solenoid could release, from a locked vacuum position.

In the photo below, the red arrows feed vacuum to the TCS solenoid. The green arrows feed the vacuum check valve (circled in green) and on through the firewall and to A/C & heater door selector. The blue arrows feed the vacuum line that runs to the distributor. You can also see the foam flter on the front nipple.

Is the flange on the bottom of the endure nose original and is it unpainted or painted as it looks like its blue in one of your pictures. See link below for more on this question.

the survivor TA has a replacement alternator, however my other TA i'm restoring had the original alternator (that is i believe it is original) - see the pictures. of course as you can see it has been restored by a local shop, i'm not sure the fan should be black.

i just went out to the garage to take a look and it definitely is not painted like the reset of the nose but it does have a blue color to it
