Default 70 Ram IV restoration pics

This is a Van Nuys built T/A, as we know norwood used different hardware and this has the california emissions. From what i can see this car has had only one re-paint. It appears they even taped off the decals and painted around them. This is gonna be kinda a long process as i'm documenting all the hardware. I will post as many pics as i have time to do, but the car is also on my web site where more pics could be viewed. If you guys see somethin out of the ordinary please discuss !! Hoping this thread will help every one through thier resto's

Nice pics. In the close up of the EEC decal you can see the hose clamps. Originals have square ends, repros I've seen have round ends. I've noticed the use of the two different washer sized bolts on hood hinges, even though the assembly manual calls for only one number -- never seeen flat ended ones like that used. Based on paint color the engine has been rebuilt, which means related bolts could have been mixed up or replaced -- shops don't worry too much about putting bolts back where they belong. Could also be someone touched it up with the wrong color -- lots of overspray.

Anyone ever find washers behind the heater box, at the attachment points? Assembly manual calls for them, but I've yet to find any.

this project with the way i'm taking pics is gonna take awhile but done right ! I'm doin this for a couple of reasons, one is too just document the hardware and two is because when ya send this stuff out for plating it comes back on a big string of wire, sucks trying to remember where things go. I know some things i have noticed are not correct from years of someone messing around but, the majority of this car has been untouched. I hope this thread answers questions or gives assistance to someone wondering what they need for thier car

Different bolts on either side of car...( head markings while bolt is same)
While going through bags of OEM bolts and looking at parts cars, I noticed the same thing. I believe each side at assembly had its bolts bins and were re supplied as needed. There was obviously more than one supplier. Looks great!. NO AC should move this one along a bit faster too !
